Pacific Coast Shipbuilding Company was organized in 1918 to build cargo ships for the U.S. Shipping Board.  It was built by Robert N. Burgess, a local developer, next to the terminus of the Southern Pacific and Santa Fe Railroads.  The site is now occupied by the Naval Weapons Station Concord.  If anyone can provide any more information about this shipyard, please e-mail it to me at timcolton@aol.com
