A total of 1,021 sub chasers (PC, SC, PCE and PCS) were built by 74 boatyards. The PCs and PCEs were built of steel, with lengths of 173 ft and 180 ft, respectively, while the SCs and PCSs were wood, with lengths of 110 ft and 136 ft, respectively. Many of these boats were transferred to Britain, France, the USSR and numerous other countries. Little is known about their disposition: any information will be welcomed.
