WWII Construction

A total of 130 Landing Craft, Support (Large), or LCS(L)s, were built by 3 shipyards.  The basic design was 158 feet in length overall and 250 tons light in displacement.  The history of this class and of the individual ships is excellently told in "Mighty Midgets at War", by Robin L.
