Palmer Scott, Fairhaven and New Bedford MA
Palmer Scott was started in 1935 in Fairhaven MA, as a yacht builder, but moved almost immediately to New Bedford, after the Fairhaven yard burnt down. The New Bedford yard was essentially destroyed in 1954 by Hurricane Carol.
