Hodgdon Brothers, Goudy & Stevens, East Boothbay ME
The Hodgdon family launched their first boat in 1816 and are still at it, making them almost certainly the longest running show in U.S. shipbuilding. Goudy & Stevens was established in 1920. During WWII and through the 1950s, the two yards operated with joint management. The record is very confusing: if anyone has any information about either the yard itself or the boats that it built, please e-mail it to me at tim@coltoncompany.com.
