Tampa Marine, Tampa FL
Most recent update: June 14, 2011.
Tampa Marine was started by the Hiers family in the 1930s, to support the Tampa-based banana fleet and closed in 1960. It was located on the Ybor Channel on a site that is now part of the Port of Tampa. If anyone can provide any information about either the yard or the ships it built, please e-mail it to me at timcolton@aol.com.
