General Ship was on the site of Donald McKay's shipyard on Border Street, where so many famous clipper ships were built. The shipyard was founded in 1932 by Carl Hedblom, a Danish immigrant, and his son, Byron Hedblom. The yard changed hands several times and closed in 1991. See the shipyard from the air on Google here. If anyone can provide any additional information for the table below, please e-mail it to me at timcolton@aol.com.
