Signet Shipbuilding, Pascagoula MS
(formerly Colle Towing)
Most recent update: April 2, 2011.
Signet Maritime acquired this yard in 2010. It was previously owned by Colle Towing, a small family business going back into the 19th century. Colle used it as its base of operations, but occasionally built a tug for its own needs. The yard was originally a Corps of Engineers Boatyard, then Gulf Marine Ways, H. B. Marine and Hudson Shipbuilders' second yard. It is located on the west side of the Pascagoula River, immediately south of U.S. 90: see it from the air on Google here.
