Elizabeth City Shipyard, Elizabeth City NC

The Elizabeth City Shipyard was originally a division of the Elizabeth City Iron Works and Supply Company, formed in 1914 from the merger of the T. B. Hayman and E. S. Willey shipyards.  It closed after WWII and the site on Riverside Avenue is now a marina, the owner of which plans to build condos on the site.  You can see it from the air on Google here.  Little more is known about this yard and if anyone can provide any information about either the yard or the ships it built, please e-mail it to me at timcolton@aol.com
