The development of this shipyard was started by Savannah Shipyards, Inc., but was taken over by the USMC in early 1942 and assigned to Southeastern Shipbuilding. Its 3 ways were increased to 6 in the fourth wave of shipbuilding expansion, with $13mm from the USMC. The shipyard was located in East Savannah: see what I think is the site from the air on Google here. It closed after the war.
