Kaiser Cargo, Inc., Richmond No. 4 Yard, Richmond CA

Richmond #4 was an emergency yard developed by Kaiser with 3 ways in the fifth wave of shipbuilding expansion.  It was originally intended to be an expansion of Richmond #3 and was designated Richmond #3A, but was assigned separate management and renamed Richmond #4.  It closed at the end of the war.  The yard was located on the south side of the inner end of the channel, at Wharf Street: see the site from the air on Google here.
