Nothing is known about this yard except that it was presumably owned by Texaco. (Texaco only started in business in 1903, in Port Arthur, Texas: what were they doing in Bath, Maine?) Tugboat No. 3 in Texaco's nifty series of collectible models used to be the "American", which was Texas Steamship's hull 20. The yard was upstream from the City, at Bowery and Front Streets: see the site from the air on Google here.
