Texas Steamship Co., Bath ME

Nothing is known about this yard except that it was located at Bowery and Front Streets, in downtown Bath, and that it was presumably owned by Texaco.  (Texaco only started in business in 1903, in Port Arthur, Texas: what were they doing in Bath, Maine?)  Tugboat No. 3 in Texaco's nifty series of collectible models used to be the "American", which was Texas Steamship's hull 20.  The yard was upstream from the City, at Bowery and Front Streets: see the site from the air on Google here.  If anyone can provide any information about this yard or can fill any of the gaps in the table below, please e-mail me at tim@coltoncompany.com
