LeTourneau Technologies, Inc., Vicksburg MS

(formerly Marathon LeTourneau, Inc., and R. G. LeTourneau, Inc.)

This company was originally R. G. LeTourneau, Inc., until acquired by Marathon, which owned it throughout the boom years of rigbuilding.  It is now LeTourneau again, owned by Rowan Companies, and only builds rigs in the Vicksburg yard.  The company developed additional yards in Brownsville and Singapore in the 1970s and licensed shipyards elsewhere as well.  The Brownsville yard was sold to local interests in the early 1990s and then sold again to Keppel FELS (now Keppel Offshore & Marine) which renamed it AMFELS and re-entered the rigbuilding business.
