LeTourneau Technologies, Inc., Vicksburg MS

(formerly Marathon LeTourneau, Inc., and R. G. LeTourneau, Inc.)

This company was started in 1954 as R. G. LeTourneau, Inc.  It was acquired by Marathon in 1972, which owned it throughout the boom years of rigbuilding, developing additional yards in Brownsville TX - now Keppel AMFELS - and Singapore, and licensing shipyards elsewhere to build LeTourneau designs.  Marathon sold it to Rowan Companies in 1986 and Rowan sold to Joy Global in 2011.
