Keppel AMFELS, Brownsville TX

(formerly Marathon LeTourneau)

Marathon LeTourneau's Brownsville shipyard was sold in 1985 to local interests and then in 1991 to Keppel FELS (now Keppel Offshore & Marine), which renamed it Keppel AMFELS and re-entered the rigbuilding business.  It no longer has its own web site: you have to go to the parent company - www.keppelfels.com.sg - whose web site scarcely mentions AMFELS.  Great marketing.  See an aerial view of the yard on Google here.  Note that LeTourneau had a single series of hull numbers regardless of where a rig was built: the list below is believed to be complete, despite the many breaks in the numbering.  See the LeTourneau table for the full list.
