Montreal Drydocks, Montreal QC

Most recent update: September 9, 2011.

Montreal Drydocks was set up by Hall Engineering at the start of WWI.  It was a repair yard, located on the site of the former Tate Bros. shipyard.  It was bought by Canadian Vickers in 1928 and was still operating in the 1960s, but why it closed and when are also unknown.  Can anyone please enlighten me?  The yard was located on the south side of the Wellington Basin, west of Mill Street: the site is now being redeveloped.  See it from the air on Google hereIf you can make any additions and/or corrections to the table below, please send your info to timcolton@aol.com
