Industrial Shipping Co., Ltd., Mahone Bay NS

Most recent update: March 26, 2012.

Industrial Shipping appears to have been in business before WWII, but it is not clear who started it and when.  It is known to have built bare plywood hulls, known as tubs, for Clyde Boats, of Detroit, which started up in business in 1928, so Industrial Shipping may go at least that far back.  After the war it became the Mahone Bay Plycraft Company, building plywood sailboats.  In 1961 it was sold to American Boat Company and renamed PaceShip, but it closed in the 1970s.  If anyone can add to the table below, please send your info to timcolton@aol.com
