East Isle Shipyard, Georgetown PEI

East Isle Shipyard was started in 1965, when Bathurst Marine moved its operations to PEI from New Brunswick.  It has had its ups and downs but, since 1991, with strong support from the provincial government and its parent company, Irving Shipbuilding, it has developed a very strong position as a builder of tugs, with many export orders to its credit.  During the Canadian Frigate (1992-1994) and MCDV (1996-1998) programs, the shipyard built hull modules for the Saint John and Halifax shipyards.  Visit the company here and see it from the air on Google here.  There are some gaps in this table: if anyone can fill them, please e-mail timcolton@aol.com.
