Allied Shipbuilders, North Vancouver BC

The McLaren family had been investors in West Coast Shipbuilders.  After World War Two, T. A. McLaren set up Allied Shipbuilders on a portion of the West Coast Shipbuilders property, but in 1967 moved it to a bigger site, in North Vancouver.  In the past 20 years, Allied has been primarily engaged in ship repair but retains some construction capability.  Visit the company at www.alliedship.com and see the main yard from the air on Google here.
